As of December 2019 China's electricity consumption was Kw mln 654.42 whereas the figure for the USA was Kw mln 305.37. That means that China's electricity output was 214% of US output for that month.
I would argue that this can be taken as a proxy for non-durable household consumption.
In 2018 China recorded sales of 25.538m four wheeled vehicles against 17.886m in the US; that is 55% more. Note that the average value of the US vehicle is higher than in China but it should also be taken in account that China sold more than 10 times as many motorbikes and 10 times as many battery powered bicycles.
Therefore I have opted for 155% as the ratio of output for durables in household consumption between China and the US.
